Leading Health Care Education Management Provider Announces First Solution for Credentials Monitoring on an Enterprise Resident Management Platform

Value-added capability on the MedHub platform further simplifies GME information management

MINNEAPOLIS and WASHINGTON, D.C., Feb. 26, 2016—MedHub, a provider of the most widely used, robust health care education management solutions for universities and teaching hospitals, today announced that its residency management solution will be the first to offer Credentials Monitoring capabilities on an enterprise platform. Making the announcement at the 2016 ACGME Annual Educational Conference at the Gaylord National in National Harbor, Maryland, MedHub Director of Product Management Ryan Kohlman said, “Credentials Monitoring for residents, fellows, and faculty is a groundbreaking opportunity to further simplify graduate medical education (GME) institutional and program management. It delivers our clients additional efficiencies by eliminating the need to manually gather credential information.”

The release of MedHub’s Credentials Monitoring solution offers automated monitoring of revocations, deactivations, and updates for resident and faculty state medical licenses, DEA registration, National Provider Identification (NPI) verification, and Medicare Provider Enrollment Chain and Ownership System (PECOS) enrollment. Credentials Monitoring also checks for license renewals and gathers updated licensure dates as well as PDF copies of licenses.

The software’s flexibility allows users to choose whether updates are automatically entered into the system or queues new data for manual approval before entry. Whenever new data has been entered or issues arise requiring attention such as license revocations, MedHub generates alerts to the applicable GME office and/or programs. Usage reports are available to see which physicians are participating in this service.

Credentials Monitoring will be available on the MedHub platform beginning April 2016.
