The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center Selects MedHub

Ann Arbor, Michigan — MedHub, Inc., has been selected by The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center full enterprise deployment across its residency and fellowship programs, Graduate Medical Education, Hospital Finance, IT and paging.

The MedHub system is an integrated web-based suite of modules developed to improve communication, information workflow and reporting for physician education and residency program accreditation.

The MedHub system provides diverse stakeholders real-time access to information essential to the management of their respective specialized tasks. The University of Oklahoma willl use the MedHub the system to replace multiple databases and ad hoc processes with a single unified database to streamline workflow. MedHub error checks data input by users and manages the flow of information from stakeholder to stakeholder through logic-based alerts, reminders and milestones. System rules, flags and algorithms improve data quality as it moves between users. The result is higher data quality and reduced redundant effort.

Data managed by MedHub include: complex rotation and call schedules, faculty and resident demographics, resident evaluations, case logs/medical procedures, didactic conference management, resident duty hours and document management. Institutional data managed and processed by MedHub include: payroll/funding inputs, affiliated institutional billing, Medicare reimbursement, contracts, FTE calculations, and auditing functions.

MedHub stakeholders include residents, attending faculty, program administrators, Graduate Medical Education, Hospital Finance, paging, nurses and others.

The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center is grouping of seven health-related colleges, located in a fifteen-block area near the state capitol, and the Tulsa Medical College, located in the state’s second-largest metropolitan area, is known today as the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. The University is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools.
The OU Health Sciences Center is one of only four comprehensive academic health centers in the nation with seven professional schools.  It includes the colleges of Allied Health, Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health and Graduate Studies.
