We know this is just the tip of the iceberg. We’re planning to transform our onboarding process from paper to electronic. It will be much easier for applicants, of which a larger number are Millenials who we’re finding just expect everything to be available online. An initiative to implement the billing/finance portion of MedHub is also underway to create a more efficient process that will save us a lot of time by reducing duplication, and result in more accurate reporting. We could not ask for a better partner than MedHub. Everyone has been nothing short of great—extremely available, responsive, and open to our suggestions. The user conferences provide a window to see what other institutions are doing with the platform, which has been very valuable.

The complete transparency MedHub provides is life-altering for us. Instead of having to go to several different sources for each program, each trainee, each schedule, reports are just a few clicks away—so much faster and easier... We've eliminated manual data entry, which guarantees accuracy for ACGME reporting. Plus, I can’t begin to imagine how much paper we’re saving not having to print out information.

During implementation, MedHub provided our team with a starting point and a roadmap to guide our paper to print processes!

MedHub has given us a great deal of efficiency and ability when it comes to preparing and gathering residency program information. Its direct link to hospital finance as well as the GME office ensures up-to-date reporting and the peace of mind that our residents and programs are properly credentialed. Not only does it offer us top-if-the-line scheduling and evaluation capabilities; it also gives us the ability to track demographic and training history information, as well as conference attendance and procedures.
In my experience with our own legacy scheduling and evaluation systems, the Medhub program beats them hands down and more than rivals the canned programs from competitors’ products. All in all, it was a good decision to move and I am glad the University of Michigan Health System has taken on the MedHub program.

The ability to pick up the phone or send a trouble ticket and get a response within 5-10 minutes is unbelievable. Most of our issues have been resolved via email. The MedHub team understands the various needs of each university or hospital. They are open to changes. If a report doesn’t work for you or you need additional training, they are a phone call away. I cannot say enough about the software and support staff. MedHub has become our one source of information.

Before MedHub, onboarding packets were being sent by mail and we were always waiting for the resident to return the orientation packet on time. We decided to go totally paperless and provide all material, contracts, and benefit information through MedHub for the onboarding process. MedHub has made our onboarding a smooth process by knowing what has been completed and what has not been completed on the orientation packet.

MedHub has replaced multiple databases and spreadsheets and has significantly improved communication and enhanced workflow within our organization. It is extremely intuitive and easy to use. It has been well-accepted by residents, faculty, administration and staff.
The MedHub technical staff has offered the utmost in support in the implementation and maintenance of the system. They are constantly and consistently evaluating the system for upgrade and readily available to discuss needed enhancements. The developers realize that every institution operates a little differently and have been very willing to try to adapt institutional nuances into their system.

We needed to provide finance with reports to reconcile FY regarding resident time at other instiuttions. The MedHub financial consulting team helped setup access to the IRIS ARDS report. The finance office was able to reconcile FY2016 vis-à-vis resident salaries being reimbursed to URMS.

Our sponsoring institution & participating site were doing repetitive tasks related to FTE, billing, and onboarding. GME office championed MedHub to streamline the process by using MedHub to calculate & report on the various tasks. The result was reduced paperwork, reduced errors, increased transparency, increased collaboration between GME sponsoring institution, participating sites, and finance offices.

Although MedHub is an innovative, intuitive and well-organized system, I’ve concluded that it’s the people of MedHub who make it the superior selection. I can’t overstate the value of MedHub in a large and complex health care system like ours. From our first interactions during the RFP process, through installment and training, and on into our current day-to-day usage, MedHub has been an extraordinary value.
